What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a scientific art based on the premise that there are zones and reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all glands, organs, parts and systems of your body. The physical act of applying specific pressures using thumb, finger and hand techniques result in stress reduction which causes a physiological change in the body. (American Reflexology Certification Board)

Reflexology gently and effectively maintains health while building up you body's immunity and resistance to disease. "Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary modality involving the use of alternating pressure applied to the reflexes within the reflex maps of the body located on the feet, hands and outer ears." (Reflexology Association of America)

Reflexology is an excellent antidote to stress and therefore reduces stress related conditions.  Relaxation is a prerequisite for optimum health.

The benefits of Reflexology:

  • Stress Reduction
  • Relaxation
  • Pain Management
  • Health Enhancement
  • Improved Body Function

Reflexology helps to normalize all body functions to improve your health naturally. Most illness is the result of improper maintenance of the body. The resulting imbalance creates a buildup of toxins in the system which inhibits the free flow if energy essential to our well being. Reflexology relaxes body, releases an unrestricted flow of vitality and restores balance, encouraging the body's own healing system to take over.

A Reflexology Therapist does not:

  • Diagnose medical disorders
  • Treat medical conditions directly
  • Prescribe or adjust medications
  • Replace the need for physician's care
